Shiroma Bingatakoubou

A Bingata workshop that has been around for 300 years since the days of the Ryukyu dynasty. The workshop’s 16th owner, Eiki Shiroma, says he inherited his “honest attitude
toward work” from his predecessors. His grandfather Eiki revived Bingata after the war, and his father Eijun challenged the world of kimono outside the prefecture. He says,
“My mission is to convey the Ryukyu culture through bingata.”
